Update 3/19/08 - CLIPPERS HALF-TIME - STAPLES CENTER, MARCH 8, 2008
3/19/08
Once again, we rocked the house at the Clippers half-time on Saturday, March 8th! Over 250 enthusiastic Jazzercisers proudly entertained the Clippers fans during half-time at Staples Center! After many hours of rehearsals and a two hour rehearsal the day of the event, everyone truly shined! However, much to our dismay, the ending of our routine was cut short due to time restrictions - but no one could tell the difference while watching the performance! Either way, the experience and exposure to Jazzercise was priceless! We're all looking forward to the next event!
You can check out a video of our performance on the YouTube website. Once there, type in "Jazzercise Clippers" and select the video for your viewing! (Our line was off the screen to the right, but if you catch a glimpse of the camera man that was on the floor filming during our performance, our line was right in front of him!)
3/7/08
Our Clippers half-time event is tomorrow! Thanks to all the Clippers half-time participants for taking time to attend rehearsals this past month! You all look great during rehearsals! Most have received their performance shirts and tickets, but if you haven't, I will have them for you at rehearsal this coming Saturday at adjoining Staples Center parking lot at 3:30pm.
Please make sure to note that we will be rehearsing the day of the event for about 2 hours outside in an adjacent parking lot close to the Staples Center, so prepare accordingly.
If anyone is interested in carpooling to the event, please let me know so that I can coordinate with everyone. Those wanting to carpool can meet at the Granada Pavilion.
The cost of the performance shirts will be $15. It will be royal blue in color and a loose fitting T-shirt material.
Please submit your $15 checks made payable to John Rapozo by no later than Monday, Feb. 4th.
Thank you!
We're moving on up to the NBA!
Jazzercise has been asked to perform at half-time at the LA Clippers vs Minnesota Tiberwolves basketball game on Saturday, March 8, 2008.
If you'd like to participate, please let John or the Class Managers know ASAP! (Sorry about the short notice!)
Your $20 ticket fee is due by Tuesday, January 9th, 2008. (Payment by check is preferred.)
There is also an additional charge for your performance shirts. I will pass along that information as soon as I find out!
There will be mandatory practices for the half-time performance routine and we will periodically be doing the routine in class. I will provide further information later.
Just do it!

Yeehaw, ya'll!
A hearty congratulations in celebration of our 2nd year anniversary of our Jazzercise Personal Touch classes at the Granada Pavilion - taught by the one and only fabulous Jazzercise instructor, Carolyn Aguilera! She teaches an awesome class and continues to pump up the volume in providing motivating and challenging personal touch sessions!

RUMBLES FROM THE JUNGLE - EXCESSIVE ENTHUSIASM!
Hi Everyone!
I hope you're enjoying your summer and taking advantage of the wonderful weather that we've been experiencing lately! It's probably going to "heat up" soon as it normally does this time of year, which brings me to an issue that has EVERYONE rather "heated" in class...
'EXCESSIVE ENTHUSIASM' - yup, you read correctly.... unbridled and uncurtailed EXCESSIVE ENTHUSIASM!
This unfortunate issue has once again roared loudly in our Jazzer-jungle and has been affecting EVERYONE in our Northridge and Granada Hills Jazzercise classes generating great duress, undue stress, unrest and tumultuous UNHAPPINESS!
This hostile and infectious disease, 'EXCESSIVE ENTHUSIASM', must be cured! This horrendous disease has radically mutated and is threatening the very being of our fitness environment that thrives on FUN and POSITIVE ENERGY.
Please, I implore and ask EVERYONE'S assistance (CLASS MANAGERS, EFTers, Jazzercisers, Roy, Lola, Amos and Arnie, etc.) in helping thwart this horrible and heinous disease!
From highly secretive sources (of which I would never divulge unless bribed with homemade cookies), I understand that MUTED SILENCE is a possible remedy.
I beseech you all, EVERYONE, let's erradicake unbridled and uncurtailed EXCESSIVE ENTHUSIASM ONCE AND FOR ALL!
Thank you EVERYONE and S.Y.O.T.M.S.D.F.!

SCENTS AND SENSIBILITY
As a courtesy to your fellow Jazzercisers………
I recently received an e-mail about students that are allergic to perfumes and scented lotions. This was politely mentioned in hopes of addressing this to our students in class.
To me, wearing colognes, perfumes and scented lotions are personal preferences and I am neither personally adverse nor allergic to scents in general. After my workout, I smell to high heaven and wouldn’t mind dousing myself with cologne! However, not everyone shares the same preferences and sentiments when it comes to perfumes and various scents.
As a courtesy to our “allergic” students, I would appreciate if we could minimize the use of scented perfumes and lotions during our Jazzercise workouts. I will attempt to do the same.
To all my lovely “smelling roses”, I bid you a marvelous day!
SYOTDF,
John
